Ending the Silence
"We become silent about the things that matter"
Martin Luther King Jr.
A trilogy of work fusing dance, theatre and performance poetry, Ending the Silence is very much influenced by the Black diaspora experience and the struggle for justice and equality. It encompasses the contemporary world as well as learning from the past and looking towards the future. The pieces can be performed separately or all together.
The full show premiered at The Old Fire Station, George Street, Oxford from 22 - 24 February 2018.
Following the sell-out success and great responses from audiences to the stage production of #Ending the Silence, we are exploring options of touring this "ground-breaking work" - watch this space.
"Still reeling from the wonderful, painful, joyful experience of Ending the Silence. What an amazing piece os theatre... I think the standing ovation at the end said it all. I loved your experimentation with language and part-language - incredible - and all the elements - poetry, movement, dance, music, staging, set design, performances - all worked together so powerfully and beautifully. I want to see it again and bring all my friends!"
