Martin Luther King Jr. A trilogy of work fusing dance, theatre and performance poetry, Ending the Silence is very much influenced by the Black diaspora experience and the struggle for justice and equality. It encompasses the contemporary world as well as learning from the past and looking towards the future. The pieces can be performed separately or all together. The full show premiered at The Old Fire Station, George Street, Oxford from 22 - 24 February 2018. Following the sell-out success and great responses from audiences to the stage production of #Ending the Silence, we are exploring options of touring this "ground-breaking work" - watch this space. Ending the Silence (performance poetry collection) The collection of poems created for the performances and other pieces are to be published in a companion compilation. Part one of the trilogy was commissioned by Dancin' Oxford for that year's dance festival and premiered at Pegasus Theatre in March 2017 before being performed at Modern Art Oxford as part of the Lubaina Himid exhibition 'Invisible Strategies'. Creative educational workshops are available with the production.
